#BeLikeZane: A Young Author’s Mission to Protect Animals

At just 7 years old, Zane has become a shining example of how passion and initiative can make a significant impact. Inspired by his mother’s dedication to writing, Zane authored and illustrated his own book, Animals Can Be Dangerous, Even When We Don’t Know. He sold copies of his book to friends, family, and community members for $10 each, donating every dollar earned to Veterinarians International.

Through his efforts, Zane raised an impressive $650 to support veterinarians who care for animals worldwide. His story exemplifies how even the smallest voices can make a profound impact.

In fact, Zane’s passion inspired the launch of the #BeLikeZane campaign—a movement encouraging others to take action in support of animals and the people who care for them. Belief in Zane’s commitment to protecting the beautiful and surprising animals of our planet has sparked further inspiration and raised an additional $955, amplifying Zane’s impact even further.

Zane’s initiative not only showcases the power of youth-led philanthropy but also reinforces the importance of education and awareness in fostering a more compassionate world.

At Veterinarians International, we are deeply inspired by Zane’s dedication and generosity. His actions remind us that age is no barrier to making a difference. We are honored to have supporters like Zane who embody the spirit of compassion and action.
