From the Field•
Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease spread through unpasteurized milk, contact with infected animal products, and contaminated environments, with an incidence rate of ~500,000 human cases per year.
With our students research, VI and Sauti Moja will bolster prevention of transmission of animal diseases to people, such as the milk-borne disease, brucellosis, through training, engagement with tribal elders, and the human health network.
